FiiO K5 Docking Headphones amplifier Review
The K5 Docking Station and Headphone Amplifier was long awaited and is now finally available. Compatible with all current Fiio X series players X1/ X3 2nd / X5 2nd /X7 and E17K.
FiiO calls it an “ Exclusive Ride for all FiiO players “. The FiiO K5 connects via 11-pin micro USB port to the Player and provides amplification and charging at the same time.
With the help of the K5 you can drive full size headphones with great ease, as it uses an exclusive technology to lower its output impedance to a transport < 1 Ohms (increases compatibility with IEMs) and increases its maximum output power to up 1.5W @ 32 Ohms, so you can drive full size over ear headphones as well.
The external design has reached a new level with the use of finest materials and intelligently located ports, switches and dials that “feel” as good as they look.
If you switch the FiiO K5 on or off, the player (x1 /x3II / X5II /X7) will automatically power on/off as well.
