Aesthetix’s new Saturn Eclipse Series hi-fi components

Adding the products to their Saturn Series of products ever since 2002, first with Rhea and Calypso and then later on Atlas and others, Aesthetix has devoted a lot of efforts to make outstanding components, with special attention to improved Power Supply design. The Saturn Eclipse Series is their newest update to the Saturn Series with new and improved components to their classic designs and here is what they have changed.

In the Saturn Eclipse Series, the transformers are now isolated from the chassis, unlike in the earlier edition where it was mounted directly, so there is a decreased mechanical vibration created by the chassis. Also, there is the addition of the damping material but only are large surface area points that are relatively critical. The Calypso and Janus preamplifiers also gained high-frequency tuning capacitors with a tighter frequency response.

Furthermore, there is an improvement in power supply design for several devices, in particular, Rhea phono stage and the preamplifiers Calypso and Janus, which have better heat dissipation as well as improved overvoltage protection that secures the device system from such damage. Atlas, the amplifier, has also gained some improvements regarding the power supply as the node film capacitors are added to each output in benefit of reducing impedance.

The Saturn Eclipse Series improvements include the addition of StealthCap capacitors to Aesthetix devices and with a lot of effort of making them hand-crafted and specifically designed for this series. Regarding the design, there is slight aesthetical change such as the feet of the devices, as now all components feature Harmonic Resolutions Systems’ Nimbus Couplers instead of the previous design of rubber feet.
