Alexa Away Mood, new skill that will help keeps your house safe

In 2018, you need to be creative to keep your home safe while you are outside, back in the old days we used to keep the lights on, or maybe keep the TV on so it sounds that there is someone watching, but those are old tricks, now with the rise of smart home gadgets you can easily buy a smart security system, but if you don’t then it’s enough to use the new skill Amazon Alexa Away Mood.

Away Mood is a new Alexa skill that makes it sound that a real conversation is happening inside the house, created by the San Francisco-based home insurance company Hippo, the new skill lets Alexa play previously recorded conversations that will sound so real. So if you have an Amazon Alexa device or any Alexa enabled smart speaker now you can use this skill and make sure that your home is safe while you are outside.

There are seven different conversations so far, and the number is going to increase later, unfortunately, the length of the conversations is between 47 and 72 minutes, so the skill is not suitable for long trips away. The topics for the conversations are wide and different, to give you an idea of the topics, they include “book club meeting where everything but the book is discussed,” a “passionate argument over the rules of a complicated board game,” and one in which “two average guys brainstorm what’s unique about themselves so they can start a podcast about it.” and there’s an interesting one about “emergency PTA meeting to discuss memes, fidget spinners, and other teen fads”.

When you enable the skill, Alexa will respond by saying: “In five seconds, I will start playing a random extended audio track that will make it sound like someone insufferable is home.”

You can get “Away Mood” for free from Amazon website and enable it on your Alexa device or enabled speaker, and leave your house in safe hands.
