Amazon Announce The New Alexa Powered Fire HD 8 Tablet

With tablets sales decreasing in general, you don’t expect a huge company like Amazon to release a new tablet, but Amazon is full of surprises, and the tech giant announced the new generation of its Fire HD tablet the Fire HD 8, a cheap tablet that will serve your needs, with a hands-free Alexa.

The new Fire HD 8 comes with a 2MP front camera with 720p video and 16GB storage with support for up to 400GB microSD card. a quad-core 1.3 GHz processor is used to run the new tablet and 1.5GB of RAM, which the same internal specs of the old version of the Fire HD, but this time the tablet supports hands-free Alexa.

So if you don’t have that many apps that you use daily, the Fire HD 8 will be the perfect device for you, you know just for watching videos, reading E-books, and other basic stuff, especially if we look at the price that hasn’t change from the last version, just for $80.

With hands-free Alexa support, the Fire HD 8 will be like an Alexa powered speaker when the screen is on standby mood. Or you can turn it into an Echo Show device, you can always connect it to the $40 Show Mode Charging Dock.

Amazon is also announcing another Fire HD 8 Kids Edition, the Kids Edition is Kids friendly and comes with a blue, pink, or yellow bumper, and a year of Freetime Unlimited, Amazon’s content hub with kid-friendly books, videos, and educational apps and games.

When it comes to battery life, the Fire HD 8 can stand up to 10 hours from one charge, and it’s already available for pre-order on Amazon.
