Amazon announces 3 new devices including Amazon Echo Sub
At this point, all people who are even remotely up to date with the recent technology, know about the smart speaker craze that has been happening recently. The most popular Google Home and Amazon Echo have been leading the whole market, followed by many third-party speakers that have been integrating the two companies’ voice assistant, Google Assistant, and Alexa, into their newly released speakers. But, in the last Alexa event by Amazon, there is a new product that will be compatible with Echo in order to offer even full stereo pairing right in your living room: the new Amazon Echo Sub.
Amazon Echo Sub is a 100W subwoofer that serves to supply the bass for your home audio setup. In order to create the full 2.1 stereo system, it can be paired with up to two compatible Echo devices after which you are able to control it using voice control, or the Alexa app if you prefer so. It has a very simple cloth-wrapped housing or a cylindrical shape that encloses the 6-inch down-firing woofer. You will also be able to take advantage of the new Alexa music skills such as alerts from favorite bands and musician.
Furthermore, there are two other audio products announced, the Echo Link Amp and Echo Link, two stereo amplifiers that offer multiple in and out options. Echo Link will connect to your receiver or an amplifier and Echo Link Amp already has a built-in dual-channel amplifier that you can connect straight to our Echo to play music on the stereo devices you have.
The preorders for the Amazon Echo Sub are available, but the device itself will be shipped only by the end of the month of September. The price will be $129.99 on Amazon, which is more affordable for a sub than many other third-party devices which have Alexa integration. When it comes to other two products, Echo Link will be available sometime later this year, priced at $199.99, while Echo Link Amp won’t be available before next year, even though the price is known at $299.99.
