There is no change in the design, as the new Mac Mini looks exactly like the older version from four years ago. However, Apple introduced a new space gray color. The company is also using 100 percent recycled aluminum to build the box.

On the inside, the new Mac Mini will sport 64GB of RAM, 2TB of SSD memory which will be the first time for this desktop to get an SSD memory considering that its predecessor used to ship with traditional hard drives. Apple also added its T2 security chip to the new Mac Mini.

When it comes to connectivity, the new desktop will have four USB-C Thunderbolt 3 ports, HDMI, Ethernet, and two USB-A ports on the back of the box. This combination of ports is basically everything you need in 2018.
