Apple Music announces new series focusing on rising artists

In a new attempt to tap further into the music scene Apple Music streaming service has announced a new series called “Up Next”, presenting rising Indepentent stars to the public through mini-documentaries released monthly.

Chosen artists will get the chance to share their latest and greatest as well as being featured on The Late Late Show with James Corden, according to a report by CMU. The start will be with artist “6LACK”, a singer/songwriter/rapper from Atlanta best known for last year’s single “PRBLMS”.

The new series aimed at introducing small-time artists to the mainstream isn’t the only upcoming project for Apple Music, as the service recently also announced its exclusivity over music legend “Clive Davis” documentary “Clive Davis: The Soundtrack of Our Lives” where Davis talks about his career working with Bruce Springsteen, Carlos Santana, Earth, Wind&Fire, Puff Daddy, Witney Houston and more.

Other video materials coming to subscribers of the service include the documentary “The Movie 808” (Roland TR-808 drum machine documentary) and Taylor Swift’s concert movie for the album 1989.
