Astell & Kern brings new high-end AK T5p 2nd Gen headphones
Astell and Kern have collaborated with Beyerdynamic to create a new pair of over the ear headphones. The new AK T5p 2nd Gen are high-end headphones handmade in Germany using premium materials and carefully selected components that offer optimal audio performance thanks to the Tesla technology.
What makes this pair of headphones stand out by performance is the clarity over all frequencies as well as bass reinforcement. Together with the Tesla technology coming from Beyerdynamic’s side, the headphones feature high-power but low impedance transducers that reach their full potential even with low-output devices, even though they are aimed for best performance with Astell and Kern’s portable players.
The new headphones are closed-end over the ear design with high-quality ear pads made out of sheepskin that offer comfort to the listener even over longer period of time. The detachable cable is made out of nearly pure silver that further brings up the audiophile features of the pair, and balances the highs and bass to create harmonic audio.
The price of the AK T5p 2nd Gen headphones is $1,199 on Astell and Kern’s website. Pair comes with an elegant black protective case as well as the detachable cable. They will be limited edition headphones as only 1000 will be produced.
