Atlantic Technology joins the smart home market with the new Gatecrasher 1 smart speaker

We have seen a lot of speakers from Atlantic Technology so far, but their new product announcement for Gatecrasher 1, a wireless multi-room smart speaker, truly enters them to the market of smart home devices. The new smart speaker will offer its users streaming services as well as internet radio, and here is what you can expect from their first product of this kind.

The Gatecrasher 1 will have 2.1 stereo table-top system with variety of drivers to deliver the highest quality sound to its users, some of them being stereo pair of ¾ aluminum dome tweeters and 2-inch cone bass-mid speakers. Besides this, the internal sub-woofer system has a 4-inch bass driver as well as passive radiators. Basically, the bass depth, punch and clarity of sound that the company is known for will be as expected in this device as well.

The products design is also improved from the typical products with intention of positively affecting the audio quality. Not only this, but Gatecrasher 1 offers users the “Wide” mode for use in larger rooms creating the feeling of a more stereo speakers placed further apart. Moreover, if you wish you can add a second smart speaker and create even more powerful stereo.

Users can play music through both WiFi and Bluetooth and all of this is made even easier as the device is compatible with Windows PC, iOS and also Android. The device has a 3.5mm stereo mini jack to connect to analog audio sources and also the voice controlled systems. Talking about the streaming option, the Gatecrasher 1 is compatible with Spotify, Tidal, Deezer, Qobous as well as vTurner Internet Radio. It also supports variety of file formats, ACC, ACC+, MP3, WMa and FLAC that you can use.

Finally, when it comes to design of the Gatecrasher 1, it will have control pad located on the top of the device containing buttons for volume and playback control, three programmable preset audio buttons and, not to forget, a Bluetooth button. The pad is back-lit in different colors, each of which present when certain source is being played on the device.

The official release date will be in mid-July and the Gatecrasher 1 will be available for $499 in two colors over the real-wood veneer: Makassar ebony as well as piano black lacquer.
