BenQ Announce The New CinePrime HT3550 Home Projector

BenQ announced their new projector targeting consumers, the CinePrime HT3550. The new home entertainment projector is a short-throw DLP projector that offers both 4K and HDR, as well as the BenQ’s CinematicColor and a pair of integrated 5-watt speakers. BenQ is trying to improve the home theater experience with its new projector that features a ‘true’ Ultra HD resolution.

If you are in the projectors market, you would know that usually, home targeted projectors have low resolution. But BenQ is trying to change that by introducing a number of 4K resolution projectors. What’s new about the BenQ CinePrime HT3550 is that alongside with the Ultra HD resolution, factory color calibration and HDR-PRO support are optimized for the projector. Users will now get the DCI-P3 color which makes the CinePrime HT3550, the first 4K DLP projector to offer this color.

According to BenQ, the new projector features a natural flesh tone rendition, motion-adaptive 4K pixel enhancement, and color enhancement features. Moreover, it features CinemaMaster Audio 2+ tech, AV personalization options, a 1.3x big zoom, and vertical lens shift.

Going deeper into the specs, the BenQ CinePrime HT3550 has a 30,000:1 contrast ratio, 1,07 billion colors, and 2000 ANSI lumens. Users get a proper 3840 x 2160 resolution alongside 8.3 million pixels. One more thing, users won’t have to manually adjust the color; the projector has automatic tone mapping and color. The CinePrime HT3550 features a lamp light source with between 4,000 and 15,000 hours of operation depending on whether the projector is used in Normal, Economic, and SmartEco modes.

BenQ announced that the launch of the new projector will be by the end of this month for $1499.
