ATH-M50xBT headphones offer studio sound quality on the go

Audio Technica is releasing a wireless version of their over the ear ATH-M50x headphones after user requests. With Bluetooth connectivity, the new ATH-M50xBT headphones have many of the similar features as the previous wired pair, but offer professional music via 45mm drivers on the go, even outside of a studio.

The design of the new wireless headphones is similar to the wired pair, besides the lack of the wires. The headphones can fold in which means that they save space when carried in a bag. The ear cups are closed-back over the ear design and they offer excellent sound isolation in any loud environment, but also prevent the music played to be heard in the surroundings.

All of the controls possibly needed for handling calls, music playback and volume control are controlled by the touch of the side of the ear cups. The headphones are also compatible with any voice assistant operating on the smartphone they are connected to.

The battery life of the ATH-M50xBT headphones is up to 40 hours of continuous playback time which is more than enough at once. In case the battery runs out, there is a cable with inline microphone included allowing usage even after the 40 hours. They use Bluetooth 5.0 for connectivity with smart devices and the supported codecs are Qualcomm aptX and AAC.

Audio Technica also offers a compatible app Connect that adds a few more controls to the headphones such as button control customization based on users dominant hand, battery status of the headphones and easier tracker in case they get misplaced.

The price of the ATH-M50xBT headphones by Audio Technica on the company’s website is $199. There is only one color option to choose from which is black with silver detail and shiny black logo on the cups.
