Beoplay E8 2.0 wireless headphones coming in February

Bang & Olufsen is releasing a new version of their truly wireless headphones Beoplay E8. The new Beoplay E8 2.0 are getting wireless charging case and a few more updates that will set these headphones to compete with the new soon expected AirPods by Apple.

Beoplay E8 2.0 still do not have all features revealed, but the main difference from the previous model is the addition of the charging case. With the charging case that has a LED charge notifier, the new wireless headphones will offer a total of 16 hours of playback time. Following this is the addition of USB-C port for charging in case the wireless charger is not available at the moment.

Besides the new generation of the Beoplay E8 wireless headphones, Bang & Olufsen have announced released of their wireless charging pad. The pad will support up to 10W wireless charging and will have the company’s signature style including cowhide leather in combination with brushed aluminum.

Unfortunately, these updates come at a price as the original E8 earbuds were $300, while the new Beoplay E8 2.0 will be priced at $350 but will be released for order on 14th of February. Luckily, Bang & Olufsen did not forget all those who already own the E8 wireless headphones model and have decided to offer the wireless charging case separately for $130, allowing current owners to upgrade. The charging pad will not be available before springtime, therefore its price is not available yet.
