Bose launches new wireless soundbar SoundTouch 300 and sound systems

Original news from Here.

Revealed at CEDIA 2016, the SoundTouch 300 soundbar and Lifestyle 650 and 600 speaker systems are Bluetooth and wi-fi compatible. The Lifestyle products have the smallest speaker Bose has ever made.

With the rise of streaming services such as Netflix and Amazon Prime, you don’t need to leave your home for a good cinema experience. It seems Bose agrees, as the company has launched a new soundbar and two new home entertainment systems which have been “created just for staying in”.

Unveiled at CEDIA 2016 in Dallas, the SoundTouch 300 soundbar is wi-fi and Bluetooth enabled for connection to Spotify, Pandora, and other music streaming services. It also has “PhaseGuide arrays” which can separate channels of a soundtrack and send to places in the room without speakers to provide a more atmospheric sound.

The SoundTouch 300 is 4K compatible too, so it’s unlikely you’ll need to replace it (until 8K comes out, that is).

With the entertainment systems, Bose is aiming for something small, but powerful. The 650 range debuts the smallest satellite speakers in Bose’s history, four new OmniJewel speakers measuring just 15cm in height.

There are six HDMI inputs that can each carry a 4K signal, as well as wi-fi and Bluetooth compatibility. They can be linked with other SoundTouch systems you have in your home.

The SoundTouch 300 soundbar is priced £600, while the Lifestyle 650 and 600 home entertainment systems are $4000 (£3100) and $3000 (£2300) respectively. All products will be available from October.
