Check Out Audeze’s New iSINE LX IEMs

CES 2018 has seen the introduction of a whole host of new products from a wide array of manufacturers. Audeze, who is well-known for their LCD line of headphones and iSINE line of IEMs, took to the show to introduce a brand new addition to their iSINE line-up – the iSINE LX.

Meet The iSINE LX

Audeze is all about planar magnetic driver technology, so it’s no surprise to see that the iSINE LX too features these types of drivers. The super-thin diaphragms mean that each IEM weighs less than 20g, despite the fact that those drivers measure 30mm in size.
Stylistically it looks somewhat similar in form factor to that if the rest of the iSINE series, but with a few eye-catching changes. Where the iSINE 10 and iSINE 20 featured more understated colour-schemes, the iSINE LX looks quite a bit bolder with its white and blue colour-scheme.

As far as audio specs and measurements are concerned, the iSINE LX features Audeze’s Fluxor™ magnet array structure, and a maximum power handling of up to 3W.
The wide frequency response range of 10-50kHz also means that it is capable of reproducing any and all frequencies within the human audible range, and then some.
Noise figures are also impressively low, with a maximum rated THD+N of 0.1% @ 100dB.
In terms of portability, whilst the iSINE LX isn’t exactly the most compact set of IEMs around, it’s low impedance of 16-ohm and sensitivity of 110dB does mean that it is fairly easy to drive from portable players, but could very well still benefit from the extra driving force that an external amp would provide.

Pricing

Audeze have pegged the pricing of the iSINE LX at $199, making it Audeze’s most affordable IEM product. Alternatively, there’s also a bundle offer available which includes the iSINE LX as well as the Cipher Lightning audio cable (which is usually priced at $120) for $259.
