Elegia headphones: first closed-back headphones by Focal

Coming from France, Focal is a brand that covers most price points of headphones, from more affordable models to those that are quite an investment. Their newest high-end model, Elegia headphones, is the first one that will feature a closed-back design, unlike the previous ones that were open-back headphones such as Utopia and Elear.

The Elegia headphones, being the first companies closed-back design solve one of the biggest problems of the open-back headphones, that is the ability of people around you to hear what you are listening to but also you to hear people and sounds around you. With the closed-back design, you get more of a passive noise isolation which is further encouraged with the memory foam ear pads.

These high-end headphones offer excellent listening quality with specifically chosen innovative components and including exclusive full-range speaker drivers with precise sound reproduction. Elegia headphones feature “M” shape inverted dome as well as a 40mm driver that cover frequencies from subsonic to ultrasonic. As it works with low impedance of 55 Ohms, it is also convenient to use with high resolution portable audio devices as they keep the high-performance.

Talking about the design of the new Elegia headphones, they come only in one color scheme that includes a black housing with silver details. They offer optimal grip on your head making them more comfortable on your head. The materials used including leather and microfiber, as well as aluminum, complement both the design of the headphones and the comfort. In addition to the headphones, there is also the thermoformed hardshell case in black color that will keep them safe when you are not using them, protecting them from spills or drops.

Talking about the price, Elegia headphones are, as a high-end model, priced at $900. They are available now on the Samma3a Shop
