Call of Duty goes back to its roots with WWII official reveal trailer and first details

As promised, Activision has finally revealed the details on Call of Duty’s next game and its trailer. Call of Duty: WWII is here.

Developed by Sledgehammer Games, WWII tells a “dark” story about the World War 2 and the horror that the soldiers went through in a harsh and action packed adventure that brings the series back to its realistic roots, after taking a turn for future warfares in the past few titles.

Devs confirmed that the game will stay authentic to the real tale as it was developed with the help of actual veterans and historians. Work on the new game took two and a half year and it was a “great honor” to do so.

Campaign begins with the famous Normandy landing and provides players with fast based action driven by a mature story that takes them from one battlefield to the other while focusing on the hero and his squad. Multiplayer goes back to the realistic gameplay and provides an additional mode called War similar to Battlefield 1’s Operations where players online can do missions with specific goals.

Call of Duty: WWII releases on PC, Xbox One and PS4 on November 3. Watch the trailer:
