Google Daydream now supports Huawei VR headsets

As we all know, Google has unveiled Daydream VR Platform last year, and today the company is taking another step forward by supporting new devices.

Google started to expand its  supported by Daydream devices library by adding a new VR headset called “Me-too” considered as a “dead ringer” for the Samsung Gear VR as it very close to it by shape.

Google has declared obviously that Daydream‏ platform will be available to anyone who cares about, and every company can add its device to the platform. Huawei became the first company to respond to Google call and support it in the race of Smartphone VR headsets and techniques.

Google Welcomed the new Daydream’s family members  via a blog post explained the specs of the new Huawei headset which is easy to use, and the user can adjust the focus without using eyeglasses. It also provides a 95° field of view to the user. It is a great chance from Google as it offers more choice in how they enjoy VR.

The new Huawei manufactured device is reminiscent of a last-generation Samsung Gear VR, and the fact is Huawei’s headset will also be taking advantage of the Google VR motion controller that features as a cornerstone of the Daydream ecosystem.

In addition to the Huawei headset, Google has also announced four new Daydream ready smartphones including Asus ZenFone AR, ZTE Axon 7 (the affordable option), Huawei Mate 9 Pro and Porsche Design Mate 9.
