Deezer Announced a New Family HiFi Subscription Tier

Deezer announced a new subscription tier that will offer the features of its Hi-Fi tier on a family level. The new Deezer Family HiFi offers up to six accounts with all the Hi-Fi features.

While the new subscription tier will not be available for new subscribers until later this year, existing Deezer HiFi users will be able to upgrade to Family HiFi starting now and get up to six different password-protected accounts for a price of $19.99 per month which is only $5 more expensive than the regular HiFi subscription.

Deezer Family HiFi subscribers will get to enjoy features like parental controls, customer service for HiFi subscribers, and a new playlist called Family Mix which will combine the music taste of all six users and might be a bit weird.

Those features come in addition to the normal HiFi features that allow users to listen to more than 70 million tracks in 1411kbps CD-quality on the music player of their choice whether it’s their Android phones, iPhones, PCs, and a web player. Users can also stream their music to any Bluetooth speaker around them. Deezer HiFi also offers subscribers access to the 360 by Deezer app that allows them to experience tracks encoded in 360 Reality Audio which is a Hi-Fi audio format developed by Sony.

Deezer is not the only music streaming service that offers such an option. Major streaming services like Amazon Music HD, Tidal, and Qobuz already offer similar subscription tiers that allow users to add up to six users.

However, the leading music streaming service Spotify is just announcing its Spotify HiFi tier which is set to roll out later this year with no information about the price yet. Deezer seems to be dealing really well with the competition in a market full of options to choose from.
