LG Tv 2017 to support Dolby TrueHD in a new firmware update
LG has announced a new update that adds a Dolby TrueHD lossless sound to the 2017 LG TV OLED Collection . delivers 8-channel audio with up to 24-bit / 96kHz high-quality simulates home theater experience through your TV.
LG UltraHDTV was the first to also receive Dolby Atmos Dolby Vision & Dolby Atmos support, which brings surround sound tp TV’s stereo speakers works on two channels. Now, TrueHD supports coming to all LG OLED TV model in an upcoming release. let’ s know more about this new features.
What is Dolby TrueHD ?
Dolby TrueHD is a surround sound codec that supports Lossless Sound at 24bit / 96kHz Rate when playing an 8-channel audio system while delivering 24bit / 192kHz sound quality when operating a 6-channel system. These specifications are typically found with Ultra HD Blu-ray players, To support TrueHD content playback.
While TrueHD support on LG TV’s means that tv’s built-in speakers can play TrueHD content, already there many movies support TrueHD with surround sound effects without the need for an audio amplifier, allowing you to experience a home theater without additional equipment.
