The new Fiio X5 3rd gen firmware update FW1.1.5

Fiio X5’s new firmware update brings some long-awaited features and a whole bunch of fixes and improvements, making the sound quality better, the player smarter, and the device more useful as a whole.

This update brings SPDIF out settings for DoP/D2P switch; which means the DAP will be able to play high-quality audio files better, a new In-Vehicle mode, the ability to sort tracks by date added in the playlist; something simple and useful, Google account settings, and a System Email application.

It also brings some useful improvements for already existing features, these include an improved search function; now when clicking on an album/artist in the search result list, it will take you directly to the corresponding album/artist list, also improving the track loading method in the All Songs list, and a better display method of long track titles/filenames.

Most of the user reported problems were fixed in this update, this included fixing the problem with some third-party not being able to scan for local music, also fixed some problems where some FLAC/AAC tracks weren’t played correctly, a problem with the Resume function not working with iSO tracks, and some other bugs related to playlist control, Pure music to Android mode switching, and APE timing, were all fixed.
