Finally Spotify is coming to the middle east

Finally, the world’s most popular music broadcasting service Spotify is coming to the Middle East. There is no confirmed information yet, but all data indicate that Spotify has begun processing for the Middle East and Gulf region’s music streaming market. Spotify is the world’s most famous music streaming and broadcasting service, it dominates the market with more than 70 million paying subscribers, followed by Apple’s 40 million users.

Founded in 2006, Spotify is a music, podcast, and video streaming service, which legally allows its subscribers to load content online. It’s available in parts of North America, Europe, Asia and Australia. The price ranges between $ 5 and $ 15 per month, depending on the region and country you are in.

“Nothing to announce, but I think Spotify is a global company, and I think [CEO and founder] Daniel [Ek’s] mission is to get the music to everybody, everywhere. So I think eventually, yeah,” said Troy Carter, head of creative services at the Swedish streaming company, in a statement from Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.

A job opportunity in Dubai, UAE

After this statement, we can expect that Spotify is coming soon and the company may be headquartered in Dubai, but that is not all that drives us to believe that the company has plans to enter the Middle East market. The company has posted on its official website a job opportunity for a Technical Account Manager in the Middle East and North Africa, Another career opportunity was posted for a Senior editor, and both jobs location is in Dubai, UAE. from what we have seen before, the Swedish company does not announce its future plans directly, but those interested in following up the performance of the company can inspect these plans by the job opportunities available on the company’s official website, which gives a lot of information about the company’s future plans, such as its plans to enter the world of hardware and smart assistants with a music player for cars that Supports Amazon’s Smart Assistant “Alexa”.

All of this leads us to believe, almost certainly, that the service will be available in the Middle East perhaps by the beginning of next year. but we can expect a lot from Spotify, especially after it went public at the New York Stock Exchange. We can’t be sure that Spotify will be available in all the countries of the region but it will start in the United Arab Emirates for sure, and then maybe several other countries depending on the laws and regulations that entailed entering the country.
