OK, let’s start off with you climbing out from under that rock.

Honestly, this man, Livingston Taylor, has one of the most crisp and soothing voices ever. If you really want to show off your music setup, then just fire up pretty much any of this guy’s songs.
His Ink album which was released back in 2003 is definitely one of my all time favourites. There’s no doubt in my mind that a big part of why the album sounds so great is because it was produced by none other than Chesky Records. Do yourself a favour and have a look at some of the albums produced by this label. One of their more recent albums is Playing Favorites by Meiko, which is another phenomenal vocal album.

Anyways, getting back to Livingston Taylor, this remastered version marks the 25th anniversary since the release of his original Good Friends album.
The recording was taken from the original master tapes which was transferred at Sonicraft and remastered for 192kHz/24-bit and 96kHz/24-bit audio.
The album consists of various covers as well as numerous songs that were written by Taylor himself. To give you an idea of his style, think of pop and classic songs with, as Chesky Records puts it, “a jazzy twist”.
