Google Assistant is coming to B&O Beosound speakers

If you are a true audiophile, but you also want to have a smart assistant at your place or office, then you probably thought about the fact that you actually have to buy a smart speaker besides the hi-fi speaker, and the reason for that is that even though the sound quality for some smart speakers is pretty good, but even the most expensive smart speaker in the market can’t offer you what a high-quality speaker can do. But Bang&Olufsen is solving this problem by releasing the second generation from its high-quality speakers Beosound 1 and 2, which are getting a bit smarter with the support of Google Assistant.

Although the Beosound 1 and 2 already had some built-in streaming options, such as Chromecast, AirPlay 2, and Spotify connect, but the Google Assistant support will be a huge upgrade. With their cylindrical design, the Beosound 1 is designed to be a portable speaker with a rechargeable battery, while in the case of the Beosound 2, you need to plug it in if you want to use it, and it does deliver a better sound quality due to this fact.

B&O said that the new speakers will have five microphones, with a new echo-canceling technology. Five microphones mean that Google Assistant will be able to hear you even if you have the music on full volume.

At $1,750 for the Beosound 1 and $2,250 for the Beosound 2, the new smart speakers are sure not what we got used to as a price for a smart speaker, I mean you can always buy a Google Home Mini or an Amazon Echo Dot and you will the smart speaker that you want. But if you are looking for a high-quality speaker, but at the same time you want it to be able to control your smart home, the Bang&Olufsen may have what you are looking for.

The BeoSound 1 will be available in B&O stores in mid-September, while the Beosound 2 will arrive in the following month.
