Google Pixel 4 features, rumors, release date, and more

While it is still early to talk about Google’s upcoming flagship, the rumors started spreading about the new smartphone, its name, the release date and what improvements it will have. The Google Pixel is one of the most awaited smartphones every year, it runs the raw version of Google’s Android OS. The Google Pixel 4, alongside the Google Pixel 4XL, will be released at some point this year. in this article, we will try to mention all the expected Google Pixel 4 features, rumors, and everything we know about Google’s new flagship so far.

Two more Pixels to expect

Alongside with the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4XL, it is rumored that Google will release cheaper versions of its Pixel 3, and 3XL phones that would be more affordable than the original Pixel phones, giving a chance for Google fans to experience Google phones. The rumor says that these two new phones will arrive in August, which is earlier than the usual launch date for the Pixel phones.

The Pixel 4 will run Android Q

Well, this is certainly not a rumor. Just like the past Pixel phones, the Pixel 4 will be the first smartphone to run the latest Android OS. while we still don’t know the official name of the new Android, we can refer to it as Android Q. Although it’s not out yet, but we do know some things about the new Android. According to XDA Developers, Android Q will have a system-wide dark mode, new permissions features, improved facial recognition and enhanced security.

The Pixel 4 might have two SIM card slots

While the last two Pixel phones, the Pixel 3, and the Pixel 2 had standard SIM card slot and an eSIM, which allows you to choose one of the two SIM cards to activate on your Pixel phone. The Pixel 4 might have two SIM card slots, this will be an update that will allow you to use two SIM cards at the same time without the need to choose between them. It’s worth knowing that if you are using one card to make a call, or send a text message, the other card will be out of service.

The Pixel 4 release date

There are no rumors about the release date of the Pixel 4. But it is safe to say that the Pixel 4 is most likely to be released in October. Every October, just after Google I/O Developers Conference in May. Google holds an event to highlight the latest hardware developments, so alongside the new Pixel phones, we might see what does the company has to offer regarding its Google Home smart speakers collection.

What about the price?

While there is no official information about the price of the Pixel 4 or the Pixel 4XL. But we can easily predict the price if we look back at the prices of the Pixel 3, and Pixel 2 phones. Both phones went out for a price tag of $800, while their bigger counterparts the Pixel 3XL, and 2XL went out for $900 each. So it is safe to say that the new Pixel phones will have the same price tag. About the rumored cheaper version of the phone, we still have no clue whether it will be released in the first place.
