Google is upgrading its Drive’s cloud storage

Last week Google had its I/O developers conference, where the company announced a lot of new updates and services for many products. After the I/O conference, we didn’t expect to hear anything new from Google for a while, but the tech giant can’t stop, and yesterday Google announced its plan to upgrade its cloud storage service Google Drive, Google is introducing Google One, which is the new name of Drive’s paid plans. Google is bringing some new changes to the paid storage plans. And that includes reducing some prices.

Google One will have a $2.99 a month option for 200GB of storage. While Google removed the 1TB plan that was for $9.99 a month, a new 2TB plan is introduced for the same price, and the other plans are not getting any changes.

It is worth mentioning that Google is rolling out live chat support for all paying users even if you are on the cheapest plan, you can still ask for live support from Google. Another new thing is that now all the paid plans are shareable with family members up to five people, of course, you can share them with any five people it’s all up to you.

In case you are wondering whether you can still use your free Google Drive storage or not, then I’m happy to tell you that yes no changes are coming to the free Google Drive, you will still have 15GB of free cloud storage.

The upgrade will arrive for all paid users soon, in case you are one of them, then you will get an email confirming the upgrade as soon as you get it.
