How to Update your smartwatch to the new Google Wear OS!!

Instead of releasing a new version of Android Wear, which was supposed to be named Android Wear 3. Google changed the name of its smartwatch OS to Wear OS. According to the tech giant which stand behind the best search engine in the world, and the most widespread smartphone OS, the new Wear OS will arrive to your smartwatch soon.

Google Support released a list with the smartwatches that will be supported by the new OS. However, there is no timeline for when will each smartwatch receive the new Wear OS. here is a list of all the smartwatches that will be supported according to Google:

Google mentioned in its report that if you want to know when will you get the new OS, you need to contact the manufacturing company, you need to do the same thing if your smartwatch is not mentioned in the list above. Google said that all companies should have information on whether they will get the new Wear OS soon or not.

For those who have one of the smartwatches mentioned above, they will receive the Wear OS in the next few days. According to Google Support, it is super easy to update your OS to the new version, all you have to do is to keep your smartwatch connected to a nearby phone through Wi-Fi while charging during night, and the smartwatch will get the Wear OS automatically in the next few days.

The linked app on Android phones “The Android Wear” will be updated as well, and it will be replaced through Google Play store by another app called Wear OS. through the new app you can control the smartwatch just like the old app. On the same hand, all smartwatches will receive different updates for their apps to fit the new OS from Google. And this will happen in the few following days after receiving Wear OS.

It is important to mention that the new Wear OS from Google is just a rename for their previous Android Wear OS, and that there is nothing new in this new version except the name. However, all smartwatches will receive some new adds-on, updates, and apps in the coming period.
