JVC’s new HA-ET90BT headphones for athletes and sports lovers
JVC, the Japanese electronics corporation, tried to tackle down one of the biggest issues athletes have during their workout when it comes to audio devices. Their HA-ET90BT headphones are specifically designed to stay secure during the run, and at the same time avoid being a burden as they are completely wireless. This is what JVC has to offer with this pair of sports headphones.
The headphones have rubber tips, even though they are mostly made out of plastic, making them more comfortable when worn for a while. As JVC’s main goal when designing these was to concentrate on how they fit the user’s ear, they have created the 3-point support that keeps the HA-ET90BT headphones secure even on the run. Additionally, the rubber tips have a small fin that makes the placement even more secure.
Adding to their comfort, HA-ET90BT come with 3 sizes of regular ear tips you can choose from for the best fit, as well as 3 sizes of open type ear tips that have the purpose of keeping you more involved in the environment and allowing you to hear the surrounding sounds. Having in mind that they are intended for athletes, these headphones have the IPX5 resistance rating and are sweat and rain resistant, as well as water resistant so you can rinse them under the water safely.
Talking about connectivity, all they require is Bluetooth 4.2 and your pair of HA-ET90BT will be ready to go. Microphone is located in the left earpiece so that you can take calls as well as listen to music. Additionally, you can download the app for your smartphone as well, both iOS and Android, which will give you couple of additional features; the battery indicator that has 10 levels so that you can know exactly how much battery you have left, the “FIND” option in case you lose one or both earpieces and, finally, 3 sound modes (flat, bass or clear) to choose from to fit your preference.
When it comes to the battery life, the HA-ET90BT headphones can last 3 hours of usage but they, like many other wireless headphones, have a charging case that provides you with 6 additional hours, that is 2 full charges. There is also 4 LED lights on the case to alert you of remaining battery level. Moreover, the case can fit into a small black pouch included with the purchase of the headphones that has a convenient belt clip making them easy to attach to your gear and go.
The price of JVC’s HA-ET90BT headphones is listed at $149.95 and you can choose between classic black or bright yellow color.
