Infltr is now available for free until 15 August, Know how to download it
A unique and wonderful step from the Apple Store was made by providing Yoosh’s Infltr photo editing application for free instead of 1.99 dollars as it used to be.
The application provides over seven million different filters using a color gradient algorithm.
It also allows the user to select the effect before capturing it for both photos and videos.
The application was launched as an image editing and capture application on iOS with its first release in August 2015 as an alternative to the traditional camera application of the system.
The second version was released in February 2016, adding Adobe Creative SDK which allowed the users to modify their images by syncing them to their accounts and modify them through Creative Cloud and Lightroom.
It’s also allowable to the users to open photos via Photoshop and Illustrator by sending them via the application to edit them on PCs.
In December of 2016, the application launched an iMessage app which allows iPhone and iPad users to use their camera application, change the filter and send photos and Live Photos from Apple’s Message Application.
As for the available languages to use the program, it provides 22 languages including English, French, German, Swedish, Japanese and others.
The program works after you open it by swiping on the screen to change the filter, and it allows you to make the selection randomly by pressing twice on the screen.
Users can also make their own effects by changing the settings included in the app like lighting, color gradients, white and black tones, blurring, shadows and many more. These effects can be shared online for the other users to use on many devices.
And that’s why it’s called Infltr because it contains Infinite number of filters.
The application benefits from the 3D Touch feature which allows the user to switch between the front and back camera as well as showing the extra submenu.
And it offers a set of flash settings besides the live broadcast feature.
You can also edit the images already captured by the traditional camera app, add effects on them, adjust the temperature, lighting, colors, brightness, etc., and it contains 17 crop presets.
The program also has the ability to make GIFs and video clips with different effects, and even more so that it allows to change the filters during the process of recording videos.
It’s also compatible with Apple Watch, which can be used as a remote control and change the effects without having to touch the phone at all.
And it also provides a Home Screen/Notifications showing you new effects and filters available on a daily basis.
Awards and nominations
The application was nominated at The 2016 Europas in the Coolest Technology Innovation category, and it was a finalist at Fast Company’s 2016 Innovation by Design Awards in the App category.
The application was also selected as of the best creative tools by Tumblr in May of 2016.
Downloading the application
- The app works only on newer iOS versions later iOS 9.
- The app does not work on the public beta version of iOS 11.
