Jaybird’s new Run XT earbuds are going to be waterproof

Jaybird is releasing a new pair of true wireless headphones, the Run XT earbuds, as an improved version of their successor Run wireless headphones. The biggest issue users came across with the original pair was the occasional Bluetooth connectivity dropout which reflected on the performance and Jaybird is determined to change that. While working on the solution, they released Run XT version with new color options and one new feature.

Run XT true wireless headphones are going to be waterproof, unlike the original Run earbuds, holding IPX7 waterproof rating which protects them from dust and water. Moreover, color options are updated as instead of white and black earbuds, there will be combination options of either yellow and black or gray and blue.

The rest of the features are going to stay the same, meaning the battery life of Run XT headphones is 4 hours of playback time plus an additional 12 hours coming from the charging case. They are designed to stay in the ear during any kind of movement and to ensure that, there is a variety of sizes and shapes of ear tips and even fins to combine for each ear. The headphones are compatible with voice assistants Siri or Google Assistant which is just one tap on the earbud away.

The price of the Jaybird Run XT wireless headphones is $179.99. Jaybird promises another version in the future, but in the meantime, they will also release a podcast feature on the Jaybird app in the following weeks. The podcasts will be selected by athletes and Jaybird staff and will be available for all those users which prefer listening to such content over music while on the run.
