Charge your wireless mouse no more- Logitech announces new wireless charging mousepad

One of the reasons why many opt not to own a wireless mouse resides in the need of charging it every now and then. After all, the last thing you need is to be cut off from your intensive work or game so you can charge your mouse after it stops working. Luckily, Logitech finally has the answer to that in the shape of the new Logitech Powerplay mousepad.

The new mousepad isn’t only just a pad for your mouse, it’s also a wireless charging dock. The Logitech Powerplay bundle comes with a charging base, two surfaces (soft/hard) that are swappable, and the Powercore module that you can connect to your mouse so it charges through the mousepad. Simply put, this means your mouse will stay on 24/7 without the hesitation of cables (despite the pad itself having to be connected to your PC, but it’s stationary anyway).

Two models only support the Powerplay as of now; the upcoming G903 and G703 releasing later this month. Many wireless mouse models in the future are going to come with support of the Powercore, so you can keep the pad as long as you want when replacing mice. The Powerplay does not rely on magnetic resonance in a fixed spot, and it’s a technology that’s been in work for years to enable full surface coverage for the wireless charging.

Powerplay bundle will be available to purchase August 20, as it releases with the price point of $100.
