MEE audio Pinnacle P1 In Ear Headphones Review

1. MEE audio has been offering various in-ear headphone solutions for a while, and despite the relatively decent price for these devices, they still manage to outdo even its more expensive counterparts.

2. Its latest is the MEE audio Pinnacle P1 high-fidelity in-ear headphones, which may be one of the best in-ear headphones I’ve tested in a while. It features a high-end stylish look that every audiophile will like – but does it deliver? Let’s find out.

3. The Pinnacle P1 comes in a gunmetal gray finish, which MEE audio says is hand-finished. I must admit, this is a very good-looking pair of earphones – solid and shiny look which adds more elegance to an already premium-looking pair.

4. The included cables only differ in looks but are almost similar in design. One is a high-fidelity cable that solely focuses on sound output while the other includes a microphone so you can also use it for making calls.

5. There is a playback button included in the microphone, which you can use to hang up and also acts as a playback button for your music library.

6. The Pinnacle P1 also includes various ear tips of different sizes to suit you. But the best would probably the included Comply tips that perfectly creates a seal when placed inside your ears. The result? And even better audio output that’s music to well, your ears.

7. MEE audio has also loaded the Pinnacle P1’s package with other extra amenities like a carrying pouch, shirt clip and even a ¼-inch stereo adapter.

8. I’ve hooked up the Pinnacle P1 primarily to my iPhone and MacBook and streamed mostly hi-res music files from Tidal and iTunes.

9. Unlike most normal in-ear headphones, the Pinnacle P1 requires you to wear the audio device with the wire running over your ear. It gave a strong hold and fit especially when using the Comply tips. I also switched between the two cables, which were very easy to install.

10. So how does the Pinnacle P1 perform? Absolutely great. Every single tone is well-balanced – bass, mids and the like are all in the same level without overpowering one another. It’s the type of headphone that lets you enjoy all audio ranges in a clear and detailed way.

11. Let’s take for example Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody right from the initial vocal cues by Freddie Mercury to that awesome guitar solo – every tone and beat is presented in glorious detail. Stereo separation is also present, but act in a way that makes you feel that you are in a soundstage and you’re actually listening to real speakers. It’s that good.

12. The Pinnacle P1 also borders on almost reference quality when used for everyday listening. That being said, perfectionists might something to irk about the sound quality, but for me it’s perfect.

13. The Pinnacle P1 does a perfect job of delivering crisp, rich audio on every level. It hits the right price point and definitely offers a lot of value. It may not compare to pricier counterparts but I can confidently say that it’s at par. Highly recommended.
