Meet the new flagships, Raidho X-5 and XT-5
After their world premiere at the Rocky Mountain Audio Fest last autumn, Raidho is finally releasing the two amazing floor-standing loudspeakers the Raidho X-5 and the XT-5.
Raidho Acoustics is a big name in the world of loudspeakers and audio systems, the Danish company became a market leader after releasing their new driver, the unique Raidho ribbon tweeter. And now the company is trying to break the records again by releasing those two new loudspeakers.
“At Raidho we like to think that the new X-5 series is quintessentially Danish, combining our present with our past – but also our future” said Raidho referring to the Danish history that was full of explorations and adventures, “Designed with a single goal – to deliver not just performance, but THE performance”.
“But we wanted to take things further,” said Raidho while setting a new goal for them, “The goal became to approach or even match the performance of our D-Series diamond drivers – but at a far more affordable price.”
And the result here was the “XT” loudspeaker, an improved version of the “X”, the T here stands for the carefully calculated combination of Titanium and Titanium Nitride particles that were added to the existing three-layer aluminum/ceramic sandwich, creating a highly sophisticated seven-layer membrane.
Design wise, the two loudspeakers are designed to stand in a majestic way, the cabinet is crafted from natural wood, with stunning lines, and soaring surfaces. And when it comes to the colors, the new loudspeakers are available in a classic piano black finish, as well as an optional Birdseye Maple Burl finish.
The new loudspeakers are available right now in the UK with a really affordable price considering that you are buying a real flagship. The prices are £25,000 for the X-5 black finish, £30,000 for the X-5 birdseye maple burl finish, while the black XT-5 price tag will be at £34,000, and finally, the maple burl finish of the XT-5 is at £39,000.
