Music videos sections are added to Apple Music

As the second in the market of music streaming after Spotify, Apple is continuously trying to improve its Apple Music app. As a way of improving the user’s experience, Apple added a new music videos section to the Apple Music app, you can find the new section under the main “Browse” tab.

Apple announced previously that it would give music videos their own section as a part of the new 11.3 iOS update. But surprisingly, it did so even before officially release the new 11.3 iOS.

Music videos were available in the app since its launch, but right now Apple realized that having a section for them could improve the experience and encourage users to watch more music videos. However, you can access the new section only if you subscribe for $9.99 a month.

So far, subscribers can make their own playlists of music videos to watch, and Apple would have its own playlists for the trending music videos, the most popular music, and other playlists in order to promote their music and to help subscribers to watch music videos more and on a daily basis.

With this step, Apple is trying to get more and more subscribers, especially that all videos are ads-free, not like all the playlists on Youtube. Users will start watching more and more music videos after this new feature for sure, and it will encourage Apple TV users to use Apple music more on their TVs now that they can watch ads-free videos on their big screen.

But will Apple Music reach its first competitor and the market dominant Spotify? Or would users start giving up on Youtube/Vivo and start watching videos on Apple music instead? All we can say that Apple is doing really well in improving its streaming app.
