Need for Speed: Payback races back to consoles and PC this year

New Need for Speed games didn’t show up for around two years after Need for Speed (2015) came out, which despite being the shiny new NFS title the game was severely lacking for fans who complained about the all-night environment, lack of content and variety in races, poor rubber-band AI and mediocre story and live-action acting. This is set to change however, as the timeout between releases was spent coming up with Payback, the newest title in the franchise.

The next iteration of the racer franchise is being developed by Ghost Games once more and published by EA, and it’s looking to win us over again. The game promises a better single player experience with a story inspired by the Fast and Furious movies, no always-on online requirement, deeper customization, and a day-night cycle (Never thought we would praise that as a feature).

The announcement was accompanied with a debut trailer that hints at what we’ll be seeing while playing the game: great graphics and interesting plot, we also will be getting some destruction ala Most Wanted this time. Have a look at the video below and tell us what you think:

Need for Speed: Payback comes out November 10 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
