Google Fit app updates coming to Android and Wear OS

Lately, many tech giants have directed their efforts towards adding fitness apps and features to their smartphones and watches. Google Wear OS has been lagging behind Apple Watch OS and its own health features, but since the overall redesign of Google Fit earlier this year, it is slowly starting to catch up. Google Fit is now getting even more feature updates that will help all users achieve their health goals even easier than before.

The first update to Google Fit is the addition of the app’s widget that can be placed on the home screen of Android devices, allowing the users to easier access their progress. The widget will show daily stats such as Heart Points and Move Minutes while the second widget option offers the last workout that can be pinned to the home screen. Moreover, when adding a workout to the journal manually, activity intensity can be adjusted in order to get more Heart Points.

The second update is aimed at Google Wear OS users. Similarly to Apple’s Breathe app with Apple Watch, Google is now allowing Google Fit to guide the users from their smartwatch to take a deep breath, relax and unwind during a stressful day when there are just too many things that have to be done.

Google Fit app update is available now from the Google Play Store to help you lead a healthier and more active lifestyle.
