New VR headset for Moto phones

After releasing a few Moto Mods accessories from Motorola, from the Alexa speaker to the instant camera, it’s not surprising at all to hear about this, a virtual reality headset custom-made for Moto Z line. With no reports from Motorola, an image of the new Moto Mod was released on Twitter today by VentureBeat reporter Evan Blass.

There are no more details except this leaked photo of the headset, no release date, or any specs. But if we look back at Motorola’s release dates, we can’t expect the new Mod to be shipped soon. But for people who don’t like to wait, it’s useful to know that Google’s own headset is compatible with Moto Z phones, including the Moto Z Force, and the Moto Z2 Force, and available now on the market for an affordable price, and it can also work with other phones like Google Pixel 2 and Samsung Galaxy S8 and other phones as well.

Evan Blass Tweet

We can expect some new features from Motorola, for example with the wide camera of the Moto Z, we can expect the new headset to support some basic augmented reality. But with a look on all the headsets that are already trying to do so, we can’t expect more than a live view of the world.

With no more information about the new headset, we hope Motorola release it soon and with an affordable price, it would be really wise from Motorola if the company wants people to buy it instead of other VR headset.
