The new YU6 Bluetooth stereo powered speakers

In general, everyone now owns a Bluetooth speaker, or a soundbar speaker for their screens among other uses of it. But when you are an audiophile who is passionate about music and sound quality, a single speaker will not satisfy your needs, and you will always feel that there is something missing. For audiophiles, if they have to choose a type of speaker to own, they will always choose stereo speakers. And if you want to buy stereo speakers, then you need to try the YU6 speakers from Kanto, one of the best options if your are searching for relatively small and efficient powered speakers.

The YU6 stereo powered speakers have one set of stereo RCA analog inputs, and if you are a turntables fan, then you can switch them over to be moving-magnet phono inputs, the speakers also have an RCA subwoofer output jack, two optical digital audio inputs, and a 3.5mm stereo analog input, plus an AptX Bluetooth wireless sound. As they are powered speakers, that means that they have their own built-in amplifier, thus you can connect them directly to any mixing console or any other low-level audio signal sources without the need for an external amplifier.

It is a two-way design with a 28 mm silk dome speaker and a 132 mm Kevlar speaker. The system is rated 200 watts for both channels. The rear side of the speakers have a USB charging port, but the USB port is only for charging, this means that YU6 is not meant to be used as a computer speaker. And as it is a pair of speakers, you need a cable to connect both speakers together, there are no cables shipped with the speakers, so you need to buy your own cables.

If we want to compare the YU6 with any other single wireless speaker, then it’s better to compare it with the Google Home Max, or the Apple HomePod, I mean if you are buying a Bluetooth wireless speaker then why not buy a smart one. Of course, both speakers are smart and you can talk to your personal assistant through them, whether it is Google Assistant or Siri, but when it comes to the sound quality or connectivity, the YU6 would win for sure.

If we are comparing the prices, the price of the Google Home Max is around $399, while the Apple HomePod is for $349, and one pair of the YU6 is for $390. So if you care about sound quality, I’m sure your choice would be the YU6, and you can always buy a Google Home Mini, or an Amazon Echo Dot and connect it to your stereo speakers, so you can have both the good sound-quality and the smart speaker, for me this would be the perfect solution.
