Philips Fidelio X3 headphones finally coming in Fall

In September 2019, there were rumors that anticipated a new model of the well-known Philips Fidelio headphones, but with the complicated start of the year, the official announcement and sale start was indefinitely postponed. Now, we officially know that Philips Fidelio X3 headphones are going to be released in even more countries in September 2020, and here is what you can expect.

Fidelio X3 headphones follow in the footsteps of its predecessor, X2 model, but bring the expected changes in both design and internals which pack 50mm multi-layered drivers. In order to decrease resonance and vibration, they feature a double-layered ear shell and thanks to the Kvadrat fabric which they are covered in, you will be able to enjoy the immersive, spacious sound.

When it comes to the new design, the new Philips wired headphones come with open back design and comfortable lightweight housing. The overall design is very minimalistic, with a 15-degree angle of the speaker plates that are intended to make the headphones fit better on your head. They will be available in black color only, featuring black Muirhead leather in combination with memory foam ear cups.

Philips Fidelio X3 headphones, as the company’s new flagship model, are finally set for a proper September release date. They are directed towards audiophiles similar to the upcoming Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones, and will even have almost the exact same price set at $349. We are excited to see how they both perform and compare after the release.
