Primare announces I15, I35 amplifiers and CD35 player

Three new Primare devices are on the way, and they are all utilizing the company’s latest control technology “Prisma” through the mobile app. These products are I35, I15 amps and CD35 player.

Primare’s Prisma technology is said to be “whole-home, high fidelity control and connectivity solution.” It provides “network playback from stored and streamed media, wi-fi and Bluetooth connection, as well as multi-room/multi-zone connectivity and control.” This all becomes possible through a mobile app that you can download to your smartphone to control the devices, in a similar fashion to Yamaha MusicCast that we saw previously.

As for the devices themselves, I35 amp comes with the new UFPD 2 power system which is a rework to Primare’s previous all-analogue Class D solution. The new amp delivers 135w on 8 ohm, fully balanced analogue options and full featured DAC stage, meaning PCM 768kHz and DSD 128 conversion.

The sllightly less powerful I15 comes at 75w per channel but with DAC conversion of the same PCM 768kHz and DSD 128. CD35 CD player comes with new DAC stage and ESS Sabre chipset and supports same PCM and DSD conversion as the other two devices.

The three products are going to be available at some point from July to September this year. No words on the pricing yet so we’ll have to wait a couple more months for more details.
