Everything we know so far about Samsung Galaxy Buds

Apple is not the only one that is expected to release its new truly wireless headphones in the near future. Last year, Samsung has officially trademarked the name “Galaxy Buds” which were believed to be the newest wireless headphones from the company and a successor of the Gear IconX earbuds. Ever since then, there were no official announcements or news until now when a new FCC filing evidently confirmed official Samsung Galaxy Buds.

It is almost completely unknown what the new Galaxy Buds will be like when it comes to the design or features, but a few leaks since last year has given us an idea of what can be expected. Firstly, a leak from SamMobile revealed that the earbuds would offer 8GB of onboard storage and battery life improvement when compared to their successor. Following was the leak from Bluetooth certification based on which it could be concluded that the Galaxy earbuds will rely on Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. Finally, from the FCC filing, we find out that the buds will have a charging case but it is not known whether it will feature USB-C or Micro USB charging port.

Unfortunately, there is also no news on the price or even release date but, as there is a Samsung Galaxy S10 launch event coming on February 20th, there might be some more updates released regarding the Galaxy Buds.
