Roli's Songmaker Kit now comes in a GarageBand Edition

Roli has released the new edition of their Songmaker Kit with which you can create music from start to finish using a simple setup. The new Songmaker Kit GarageBand Edition includes Seaboard Block, Lightpad M and Loop Block that together contain all necessary elements a composer might need, letting you play, record and tweak the music and create your track.

GarageBand Kit offers two touch-responsive playing surfaces, the keywave surface with 24 key waves, and the illuminated LightPad surface for drums and other effects. What makes this edition different is the GarageBand’s Alchemy synth that offers hundreds of presets and sound that can be incorporated in tracks, taking you only a couple of minutes of setup to start creating music.

The GarageBand Kit comes with a software package that includes Equator, Strobe2, and Cypher2 that offer even more control over music production. Besides this, with the Kit you get a Max MSP Licence for three months for free, as well as free three month trial for Melodics for interactive beginner lessons. Furthermore, it is compatible with Apple’s Logic Pro X as an option for a more advanced production software.

GarageBand Edition Kit is compatible with Mac OSX 10.10 and up, as well as Windows 7,8 and 10. It is compatible with iPhone 6 and up as well, as long as iOS 9.0 is installed on the device. Even though it works the best with 8 GB RAM, it can work with 4GB as well.

The price of the Songmaker Kit GarageBand Edition is $680 on Roli’s website. Besides the Seaboard, Lightpad and Loop Block, it comes with a Snapcase ⅜ to keep everything protected and more conveniently transportable as well.
