Speakers from Sonos’ partnership with Sonance coming soon

Sonos is making big steps this year when it comes to upgrading its speakers through partnerships with some of the biggest names out there. First, it was the integration of Google Assistant besides the already present Amazon Alexa in its devices, followed by an expected partnership with the most popular music streaming services such as Spotify and maybe even Apple Music. We were excited to see what Sonos might bring for us next, and we did not have to wait long as Sonos’ partnership with Sonance was announced.

What Sonos’ partnership with Sonance includes is the creation of outdoor speakers and indoor, including both ceiling and in-wall, speakers that will be built by Sonance. The goal of this partnership is to create compatible devices with Sonos’ latest addition to its collection, the Sonos Amp. The new speakers will use the amplifier’s True Play Tuning software in its fullest capabilities and adjust their woofers and tweeters according to room’s acoustics in order to achieve optimal sound.

Even though we expect excellent performance from devices coming from Sonos’ partnership with Sonance, we can also expect the new devices to be visually pleasing as most of Sonance’s products now are very non-intrusive. Currently offered devices are very discreetly hidden in the space, including an unusual rock-shaped outdoor speaker. Unfortunately, it still not knows what exactly is coming, at what price or even when, but the first new speakers will show up by the beginning of next year.
