Sony announces adding Dolby Atmos to its Blu-ray player and AV receiver
After introducing a range of TVs at the CES 2018, which was held last January, Sony Electronics has just announced a range of devices that will certainly be designed to work with the new TV set; the new Blu-ray player UBP-X700, which will deliver 4K Dolby Vision content, as well as the Dolby Atmos AV receiver under the name STR-DH790 within its line of new home audio and video devices.

Speaking of the Blu-ray player, the UBP-X700 is a very powerful addition to the company’s line-up of Blu-ray players that deliver the 4K Ultra HD viewing experience from Sony, which initially supports the HDR10 display technology and will support Dolby Vision by updating the device firmware, and the company has announced that it’s going to release it later this summer.

With this player you can access and use many 4K Internet TV services such as Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. This player also supports a number of music and video file formats including MP4, DSD, FLAC and others.

The second device is the new AV receiver, which is equipped with Ultra HD, Dolby Atmos and DTS: X decoding technologies under the name STR-DH790.
