Spotify reaches 50 million premium users
After many rumors about Spotify and Soundcloud acquisition, new reports says that the Swedish Music-Streaming company is getting ready for the IPO, and this may be the best time ever for them to do that.
Spotify now celebrates with its 50 million premium Subscriber all around the world, as this is a great achieve over the 30 million users last year and 40 million users at last September, so this will make the company able to gain money for the first time since launched in 2008.
These numbers represents the premium subscriptions only, but if we looked at the ad-supported plan we may see around 100 million active users.
On the other hand,if we take a look around we see Apple Music reached its first 20 million users in 18 months (including the first free 3 months), so do you think Spotify is better, or you’re an Apple Music subscriber?
