Ticwatch E2 Teasers - Mobovi's Best Smartwatch So Far

The Ticwatch E2 is on its way. Mobovi, the company behind the Ticwatch brand teased the new watch on its website, going so far as to mention it by name and give us a picture of it. The teaser was since removed but we’re here to bring you the gist of it.

There’s not a whole lot of information about the watch out, but what we do know is that it is the successor to the affordable Ticwatch E. We don’t know when it will be released but it is expected soon, and will probably cost around $160, which is a very competitive price when put against the Apple Watch, Galaxy Watch or even Huawei’s Watch.

Considering that the first Ticwatch E was released earlier this year, we shouldn’t expect the new watch to come out until early 2019. But regardless of when it comes out, it sure will be cheap. It’s predecessor started at $159 so the new model will probably be in the same price range, possibly slightly more expensive as it will have newer tech and features.

The teaser included a photo of the watch, which you can see in the top, with a text saying “Water is now a friend of your watch,” meaning that the new watch will probably be more water resistant than its predecessor. The Ticwatch E was already IP67 certified (meaning it can be submerged by up to 1 meter of water up to 30 minutes). This means that the Ticwatch E2 will at least be IP68 water resistant, increasing the depth to 1.5 meters. But it could also mean that it will be waterproof for up to 30 or 50 meters, seeing as the jump from 1 to 1.5 meters isn’t that large to include in a teaser.

Not much has changed in the watch’s design, as it is very reminiscent of its predecessor. It is expected that the watch will also have swim tracking. Furthermore, the Ticwatch E2 will have both GPS and a heart rate monitor, since its predecessor has both, and it’s sure to run Wear OS.
