New video streaming service Disney+ coming by the end of 2019

Netflix, as the most popular video streaming service, is soon getting a new rival as Disney CEO Bob Iger announced the plans of Disney to launch its own streaming service. It will be available by the end of the next year for users in the US, and probably a bit later by the beginning of 2020 in the UK and other countries. The new streaming service, Disney+ will stream exclusive new content including series and films.

It was already known since last year that Disney+ will exclusively stream Marvel and Star Wars films, including the new Star Wars live-action series by Lucasfilm that will be produced sometime next year. The new series will show the adventures of Cassian Andor, a Rebel spy, before the events of the film “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story”, during the formative years of Rebellion. Besides this, Disney+ will also stream Marvel Studios live-action series which is going to be based on Marvel’s very well-known character Loki, played by Tom Hiddleston.

And for those who prefer animated series, there are a few coming, including a new Pixar’s “Monsters Inc” based animated series and a new season of “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” series. Not to forget the exclusive animated movies including a new Christmas movie “Noel” which stars Anna Kendrick in her role of Santa’s daughter. Another movie expected is going to be “Togo” starring William DaFoe.

There will, of course, be more Disney and Marvel series and films exclusive to this streaming services, especially after it pulls its films from Netflix during 2019. You can check out the placeholder website and get a notification when Disney+ launches.
