Waze navigation app adds the ability to record your own voice guides

GPS and navigation app “Waze” is becoming increasingly popular and better by the day, and now is the perfect time to jump abroad and experience what others are using in their everyday life. Not only does Waze warn you from reaching speed limits, dangerous intersections, and guiding you in traffic, but it now also allows you to hear all of the above with whatever voice you choose, including your own.

Voice guide feature was present since the app launched and it had several packs to choose from including celebs like Mr. T and rapper T-Pain, but this new update brings you the ability to use the voice of whoever you want like a friend, family member or your own voice. You’ll be able to record the guides under the “Sound & Voice” option in the app and start using it.

You can add whatever flavor you want on these guides as you’re not forced into reading specific text, so you choose how you want to be notified. The new update is available on the Google Play store, and you can download the full app here in case you didn’t have it already.
