Now you can send WhatsApp stickers to friends and family
Most messaging apps have included stickers as one of their features a long time ago with a goal to make communications with friends easier and more fun. WhatsApp has announced that it is joining them and adding a stickers feature to its app, with large variety of themed WhatsApp sticker packets you can send to your contacts.
The WhatsApp stickers feature is very simple to use. To access the stickers on Apple devices, click on the new sticker icon in the text input field. For Android users, they will be located next to the emojis and GIF features. When chosen, the menu of available packets will be presented. Similarly to Facebook, the sticker packets need to be downloaded first in order to be sent later on.
So far, there are only 13 sticker packets available which are created by WhatsApp designers, as well as a selection of other artists. But this is not where the options end. Any third-party sticker app from Google Play Store or App Store is also compatible to be added to your collection. WhatsApp also created a guide on how to make your own sticker app.
The new Whatsapp stickers update will be coming over the next couple of weeks on both iOS and Android devices.
