Yamaha releases the new MusicCast 20 home speaker

Smart speakers are the trend of the past two years, they are getting more and more popular, and come in many different sizes and shapes, and from many different producers, so basically you as a consumer have many options to choose from. You can go with Google Home smart speaker, which comes in three different sizes so far, or with Amazon Echo smart speaker, which comes in at least 4 different versions, or Appel’s HomePod. No, Yamaha doesn’t have its own smart assistant, but the new WX-021BL MusicCast 20 home speaker will provide the support for Amazon’s smart assistant “Alexa”. Yamaha released the new home speaker with the support of Amazon Alexa, so now you can control your music by voice commands, plus other voice commands and features that Alexa has. So let’s break this new gadget down.

The new MusicCast 20 have a nice and elegant cylindrical design, although it’s quite a big speaker, but the shape of the speaker helps with any decoration you have in mind for your living room, it comes in two elegant colors only, Black and White, and provides you with a high-quality sound due to its specification that we will have a look at it now.

Before going into the specs, the MusicCast connectivity is quite good, the new speaker features WiFi, Bluetooth, airplay, and Spotify. With this connectivity choices, you have the power to access your favorite music playlist whether from your music streaming service or from any of your devices. As we mentioned before, it also support Amazon Alexa, that means that you can use your voice commands to control Alexa throughout the speaker via any Amazon Echo device, so instead of buying a normal Amazon Echo, you can buy Amazon Echo Dot, and control it over the MusicCast 20, and in this case you have both the smart assistant and the high sound quality.
