Amazon updates Amazon Music with Alexa Assistant

Amazon has launched a new update to its Amazon Music application on Android and iOS in the United States, Germany,Australia and the United Kingdom that gives application users the ability to use Alexa to search for the music they want.

The Amazon Music application competes with Spotify, Deezer and SoundCloud, allowing you to access up to 40 million music tracks, so you can now get what you want by just giving your voice commands without having to use your hands.

Amazon Music is available on Windows, MacOS, iOS, Android and FireOS, and was officially launched in January 2008 to be the first store to sell music without DRM rights.

The Assistant also added several features to the application that increases its ability to compete with other applications such as:

Know songs

A new feature added through the Personal Assistant lets you find the music you want while you don’t know the name of the song itself, but only know some words, so you can now ask the app about the song containing these words to find it easily.

The songs according to your mood

Now you can also play songs according to your mood or what you’re doing. For example, you can request a jogging track by saying “Alexa, Play running Music.” Or if you’re going on a trip, say “Alexa, play music for a road trip.” The app gives you a set of suggested songs based on your mood and what you’re doing.

The personal assistant, although being in a music player application, is not without its basic features such as weather news, sports and news in general.

One of the most important features of Alexa is its ability to understand the natural language without having to stick to the limited words. Simply ask a song by saying “play the new song by …” or “Play Oasis from the 90s” and other simple sentences that You can use it to get what you want.

The Alexa Assistant is also available in Amazon’s speakers known as Amazon Echo, which spreads more and more between devices and other speakers to compete with other personal assistants such as Siri, Google Assistant, and others.
